About Heritage

Heritage Community Church is a new church shaped by Scripture, centered on Jesus, and committed to helping families and individuals follow him in everyday life. We are building a community where generations worship together, questions are welcomed, and biblical truth is taught with clarity and applied with care.The idea for Heritage began three years ago when our family attended a youth event at the Monroe Theatre. The first time I walked inside, I remember thinking, “This would be an incredible place for a church.”

That thought grew into a deeper burden as we saw families driving forty-five minutes or more each Sunday to find a church home, despite the many churches already present in Monroe County. We also saw a real need among young families, students, and people who had become disconnected from church.

Six months ago, we were approached about planting a church in Woodsfield and were offered a small meeting space in the art center. We began with Bible study, prayer, and relationships—building the foundation before launching publicly.

Now, as the historic Monroe Theatre nears the completion of a major restoration, Heritage is preparing to gather there on Sunday afternoons.

Our vision is bigger than a weekly service. We want to help families worship together, offer healthy biblical teaching with clear application, build meaningful community through Heritage Homes and Heritage Youth, and love Woodsfield with everything we have.
